Bravo

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: How to get a WM CLI?

I was approved for $500 in Nov 2012. Heavy usage and I PIF'd most of the time. Got a CLI to $700 in March after hitting the luv button, and $900 in August. Last night, I hit the luv button again - $1600. I called the backdoor number and asked for $5k. Got $2.5k. I think calling for a CLI works better. I currently have a $300 balance on it. Good luck!

Starting Scores: (4/16/12 lender pull) TU 596 | EX 550 | EQ 576
Current Score (9/3/15): Wally TU 639 | Amex EX 628 | DCU EQ 639
Goals: Homeowner as of 9/27/2013. Last app 8/1/15. TU-5; EX-16; EQ-13. Aiming for ZERO inqs.

Re: How to get a WM CLI?

Honestly, I don't think there's any secret.  Everyone's reports are different.

I opened a Paypal MC and Wally Discover on the same day 4 months ago.  On the Paypal, I used it here and there, bought a PC etc, then paid it in full.  I use the Wally DC all the time for groceries etc, and have actually been carrying a balance on it.  The card with the balance got a much larger cli (percent-wise).

Paypal MC: Approved for a 3k limit, 4th statement cut and auto cli to 4.25k ($40 bal at time of auto cli)

Wally DC: Approved for a 1.6k limit, 4th statement cut and auto cli to 3.1k ($700 bal at time of auto cli)

My overall util is pretty low though.

Re: How to get a WM CLI?

I should know by Friday or next Monday at the latest if/or how much of an increase they are going to give me. My statement cuts on the 12th of the month and they come out with the new Fico scores on the 10th business day of the month.

This will be my eight statement. I have had heavy use but always paid in full. If they dont give me one automatically I plan to call. Or if they dont give me a decent increase I plan to call. Its my understanding that isnt a hard pull but I will request no hard pull if I end up calling. I'm in the garden until March of 2014. Ive read on several boards they will usually give you higher increases if you call especailly after hours or weekends and that there isnt a hard pull for asking.

Keeping my fingers crossed and will post my results here.

Re: How to get a WM CLI?

I was wrong about the fico scores, they came out on the 3rd of the month. I posted a screen shot of mine in the Walmart Oct 3rd Fico thread.  I am still waiting to see if I get an increase from Walmart and I will come back and post the results. I will give them a week or maybe two before I call and ask for one. I'm not sure how long it takes them. I am hoping against hope to see something tomorrow but since its a holiday and the banks will all be closed their credit offices might not be open. I can't remember how long after my 4th statement closed when they raised me because I wasn't really expecting it. It was a very pleasant surprise. I have read a few threads lately of people not getting increases. I hope I'm not one of those. .

Re: How to get a WM CLI?

I was on another thread when I realized if I got my increase after my forth statement I wouldn't be eligible yet so I checked my credit karma account and they showed the increase in June, so if they are going to give me one, it should be very soon. Sorry for any confusion. I've had a big day and its way past my bedtime.

Re: How to get a WM CLI?

I called credit solutions early this morning 5:12 am  to be precise and got a robot. It was completely painless.

She asked how much of an increase I wanted, I said 3,000.00, she came back and said, I'm sorry we cant approve you for that amount (my heart sank) then she said but we can approve you for 2050.00 and if you will accept that please say "yes," otherwise hang up. Naturally I said yes. I am thrilled to have that much of an increase. As I stated before (maybe on another thread) I have used the card each and every month from 200-400, and alwayspaid in full before the due date. I must be doing something right.

Hope this helps.
