Maybe get a few high limit cards...Join a credit union like Navy Federal if you can...They issue high credit limit cards...mine started at 25k and grew to 33k which is the max for the rewards card.  Also X1 came in at 23.5K.  AMEX will give you CLIs or since you have an account, open a new one,  It wont be a pull at all since you already have one...my latest AMEX card came in at 23k a year after a 1k card.

@DaWhole9  Congratulations on your fantastic limits! Just wanted to make sure you were aware $33K isn't the max for your Navy Federal card.  All of the Navy Federal cards

can go up to $50K except the Flagship which can go up to a max limit of $80K.

@ajcredit, Thanks for posting your profile.

You have already been given some great advice.

My thoughts, go online to your Lowe's acct. and ask for a credit limit increase to $35K it is a soft pull,

don't worry about asking for the full amount of $35K, "if" they are not willing to grant the full limit, they will counter offer. No harm & No foul.

You might look into asking on your Chase cards, call in "SP" on  Transunion report.

Also, you might try for a credit union, Patelco has a pre-qualify ..they have been very generous to Me. [you can see here]

Also PenFed credit union can give decent limits (the website is not the greatest, but works ..phone App is not so bad)

I'll mention one more Affinity Federal credit union My 1st card was a $25K limit.

Good Luck!

@M_Smart007  Great advice! On a side note I was curious how do you post these links to posts like this? When I post a link it always is a very long link with the https info included.

Re: How to get high limits?

Be patient your limits are pretty good for how many cards you have.

I would suggest that you first look at what type of rewards that you want for your spend.  Once you figure that out only use those cards so rewards are not spread all over the place.  Grow those cards and get rid of any cards that you don't use.

I played to see how high I could get limits and I have closed more CLs than your entire total limit and stuck with the cards that I want rewards in and how we travel.

You may find out you can do more with less.

You can make anything the link. Just block the language you want to make into a link, click the "insert/edit link" link near the top of the form, type in the URL to which you want it to direct where it says "URL", click "OK", and you're done.

@DaWhole9  As long as you're not at the $50K or $80K limits I mentioned previously that just means currently you've reached the maximum amount of credit they're willing to issue you. I got that before and then asked again in 6 months and got more!

I have several cards with the newest approx 2 years old.  I've been trying for several years to get at least one high limit card for large purchases I make from time to time.  I have a few cards at $10k, but never seem to be able break past that limit.  I regularly rotate and use them up to 5-6k and pay them off within a month or 2.  I do have a small >$1k balance on the report but that's just due to purchases close to billing cycle.  I am really hoping for something in the $20k range as that serve all my needs.  Any suggestions on how to go about requesting that sort of limit or what companies might be more apt to give that sort of limit?

First tech all the way. Your income and profile fits. SP to join. Ex and a secondary like nexis. Hp ex for card. Go for the odyssey. They should blow all the others out of the water. Do come back and let us know how you did. Best of luck. Go get em.

I should also add, during application for the card, linking via plaid can speed up approval process.
