How to maximize Cash back?

I apologize if this has already been answered but I can't seem to find the answer.

I am setting up all my accounts to be paid with two of my credit cards. I can't however figure out how to pay my mortgage with a credit card.

I did see something online about chargesmart.com but that have some horrible reviews so I plan on staying away from them.

Just to disclose it now in case someone wants to ask, I only want to pay it with a credit card for the cashback/miles option. I can if need be pay it from my checking account as I have done for years.

From what I've read your two options are chargesmart (fees though can eat up any rewards you might earn), Evolve or American Express Bluebird

I didn't know about chargesmart until the OP mentioned it in this post. I went online to read reviews, and like the OP said, I would rather stay away from them - http://www.consumeraffairs.com/credit_cards/charge_smart.html

Can you give more info on Evolve or American Express Bluebird? Are they services or credit cards?

Re: How to maximize Cash back?

Search!  These have been discussed here many many times, Evolve in particular very recently.

Google search for American Express Bluebird, American Express Serve and Target Redbird.   These are all prepaid cards with bill pay services, that can be loaded, in various ways, with credit card transactions to gain rewards.

Search for Evolve Money.   For mortgages, it's currently not great, max of $1000 per month, but only works with credit cards with Discover, and it sounds like that isn't what you want to use

Re: How to maximize Cash back?

Only true option is Target Prepaid RedCard, which isn't available everywhere yet and costs anywhere from 26 - 50 bucks on ebay, which is not worth it as it might become available in my area before i break even.

Amx Serve only allows 1000 max load per month via credit card; the soft serve card allows 1500; not enough for most mortgages especially in the Washington D.C. metro area. (not saying that is where OP lives, I do )

Rest of the sites as you noticed charge fees which eat up rewards so no point.

Evolve is limited to a 1000 payment a month to a particular payee.

Well, serve and bluebird can also be loaded by debit cards, which can be bought with credit cards, so with the right combination of cards can work.

Serve has same limit for debit card loads. Cash and checks are 10,000. Unless ofcourse i am misinformed.

You can load with debit cards (in the form of gift cards) $2,000 a day at Walmart, (maybe $2,500) and  $5,000 a month
