How to request a VISA issued card? American Express?

I've noticed that all I have are MasterCards. My capital one is a master, my Citibank debit card is a master. And then I have discover. But I need to diversify my cards. Because it leads to me not being able to make purchases.

You have to apply for Visa backed credit cards.  I have a mixture of both.

Research potential cards you may be interested in and you will see available options.  For example:  the Quicksilver by Captial One is Visa but the Quicksilver One is Mastercard.  Most every website has an image of the card and you will see the logo in the corner of the card.

I wonder if cc companies know people choose their cards based on who it's backed by. Right now I'm about to search for a VISA credit card.

What retailer have you encountered that wouldnt accept a MasterCard but would accept a Visa?

Soon it will be Costco ..lol... other than that I cannot come up with an idea and find them absolutely equal

Can't remember for certain, but DW is a fan of those "dollar stores"...  dollar tree, family dollar, etc...  and one of them only accepts Visa...no Mastercard, no Discover, no Amex.

I can't remember which, and it may vary by location, but I remember this making DW nuts as well.

Actually never mind they do accept discover they upgraded

a dollar general near my parents house doesn't accept mastercard credit but they will accept debit.
