This may be more trouble than some people think it is worth, but what I did was open a $500 savings account with BOA that my $30 quarterly rewards deposit into automatically. That way, the rewards can't apply as a credit so that my BBRs report a negative balance and disqualify me from getting the next quarterly rewards. If you do it this way, you don't have to worry about spending at least $25 on each card (I spent about $10 on each card and got my first quarterly award). I have two BBRs, so that's $60 per quarter, $240 per year!

Is it possible for 2 BBR's to deposit into 1 savings account? Or do you need a separate savings for each BBR? And is there a fee or penalty for withdrawing from your savings?

I'm not sure about depositing 2 BBR rewards into one savings account but I would think there should not be a problem with that...

For the savings account, no monthly fee (otherwise $5/month) with a minimum of $300 or monthly transfers from BofA checking of $25+ or if you are a preferred reward client. Limited to six withdrawals before they add a fee per withdrawal ($10/withdrawal)

Yes. Both of my BBRs deposit into the same savings account.

The first six withdrawals every billing cycle from my savings account have no fee. After that, there's a $10 fee until your next billing cycle begins. Hardly a limitation since I can't imagine a time I would be withdrawing that many times in such a short period of time.

Yeah baby! I aspire to be like that some day! :-)

Your scores are much, much better than mine. If I can get two BBRs, I can't fathom a reason you couldn't unless you're blacklisted by BOA!

Thanks for the reply, makes a lot of sense!

I'm itching to apply for the BBR but don't know if this is an ideal time since the quarter just ended for the statement credits. Would it be wise to wait until January and apply and start with a fresh quarter? I'm also aiming for 2 BBRs, how far apart should each application be?

I would apply in November. When you are first getting your card, as long as you make the minimum payment for the rest of the quarter, you will get the bonus, so you could get  Q4's bonus after only one statement.

It's hard for me to tell anyone how far apart anyone's apps should be, but as a frame of reference, my two BBR approvals were only two weeks apart.

Provided you meet the requirements each month, it doesn't matter when you open the account in order to get the cash back for the entire quarter.
