How will pending approval from today reflect on statement balance for util?

Hello,

I have 2 cards. I have one with a five dollar balance and have the other at zero. A recurring payment hit the zero balance card today and pushed through a notification as approved. Today is my statement cut date. it's a Cap 1 card and assume it will take a day or two to show as posted.

Does it have to post to show on statement balance and therefore count in the util factor? It was a small transaction, but I was hoping it would show at zero.

Yes, whatever the balance is at time of statement cut is usually what is reported so in theory if it stays pending past tonight then your statement might be zero.

I always find my statement balance reported. Pending transactions are not posted, and therefore not included in the statement.
