Re: How you take advantage of cc

Can you clarify what you're looking to accomplish?  Which specific card(s)?

Your cobranded cards came with terms.  Read those terms.  Those will provide the details on how you qualify for specific features and benefits.

If you can give us some details we can try to assist but you should be aware of and considering these things before applying instead of after.

Ok so amex delta have a great offer but since im buying a package i can not choose my air line . So at this point the delta offer is useless.

Ok i know i can get the points for the spending but those are useless

I think you have to either opt to:

1. Purchase the various components of your trip a la carte and be able to avail yourself of the rewards

or

2. Do the package dealio and then just be able to earn whatever would be the general spend rewards on the card you pay with.

If people have a creative way around this, I'm all ears!

Re: How you take advantage of cc

I have to agree. If you have a great point deal on airfare why not buy the hotel and airfare seperately?

Go to Expedia and build your own package and choose Delta as your airline. Its simple

Re: How you take advantage of cc

I like the suggestion on the good airfare option. If available, doing different purchases seems to make sense.
