Re: Hyatt Visa Signature from Chase

Congrats. Thats a very good card. My co-worker has te same card and it always results in him getting "goodies" and "upgrades" when he uses it at Hyatt properties.

Re: Hyatt Visa Signature from Chase

This is for sure my next card.  Need to wait until at least June to apply, though, to let some inquiries fall off and get the balance down on my Chase Continental Airlines Signature Visa World MasterCard [whoops], which we use for everything(!) ... patience is a virtue.

JCAD, mind if I ask if you were carrying any kind of a balance on your other Chase products when you were approved for the Hyatt card?

No, I didn't have a balance at the time...or, I don't know, maybe $200 or something, but I wasn't carrying a balance over from the previous month. Maybe that helped, IDK.

Re: Hyatt Visa Signature from Chase

Finally pulled the trigger on this one two weekends ago.  Applied online.

Got message that I would be notified by mail within 2 weeks.  Ouch.

Called automated customer service line--said same thing.

About 5 days later, received an email from Hyatt Gold Passport (frequent stay program) welcoming me to the Hyatt Visa Signature family.

Called automated customer service line again--"congratulations," "approved," "$12,000 credit line."

Yee haw.  Smiley Very Happy

Pulled Equifax in Texas.  (When I applied for Chase Continental Airlines OnePass MC six months ago, they pulled Experian.)

Was (am) in process of paying down sizeable balance on my Chase Continental MC ($9000+) when I applied for this card.  Thought that would prevent me from getting any significant additional CL from Chase right now.  Guess not.

Two free nights at any Hyatt in the world after first purchase on the card.  That's a free $500-900 for this year's summer vacation!
