Re: I CANT BELIEVE IT! AMEX APPROVED!

Congrats aftermath! AMEX was my very first prime lender approval, and as such I feel somewhat loyal to them.

However, they did hit me with a FR and identity verification, which is quite annoying.

I would strongly suggest using this card and PIF'ing, at least for the first 6 months or so.

Listen to your inner voice. I have two rejections in the past 12 months as evidence of that. Smiley Happy

I have my eye on Amex or maybe NFCU when they open up to all service branches in July.

Just got a chase card in Feb so don't want to apply for anything for 6 months at a minimum may even wait a year.

You say your CR is cluttered with co's derogs etc how old are these? I have a similar deal going on in my CR's but they are aging most recent is 2yr 8mo's ago other 3-4 years old.

Roughly 3 years old (2 accounts), but they are all sitting there looking UGLY and RED on my credit reports.

Re: I CANT BELIEVE IT! AMEX APPROVED!

Yeah you are cleaner than I am aftermath I have 2 co's in 2004 with two accompanying settled collections + a closed cap1 with lates in 2005.

I need to relax let them age more and rack up points by doing the right thing. Then maybe amex lol.
