For the last three years I have applied to more than twenty credit cards. I have more than enough cards with good spending limits. It is something about getting approved that makes feel good. Does anyone have some advice?
AMEX Delta Gold $8k, Citi HH $6k, AMEX HH Surpass $5k, NFCU $5k, CapOne $1500, HSBC $1250, AMEX Jet Blue $1k, Discover $1k, Barclay Aapple $1400
Advice?
Well, you probably don't have the BB&T Spectrum Rewards card yet. 3% cash back for the first 90 days. I figure you'll be applying for another card before the 90 days is up anyways.
Or the State Employees Credit Union Visa. 7.75% Variable APR. But you need to be in North carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee or Virginia.
Aside from it being lots of fun and a hobby, it's great to benefit financially in terms of cashback bonuses and points for free travel.
For me, if it weren't for these benefits (sign-up bonuses and rewards on spend), I'd likely never apply or read about another credit card for the rest of my life, except for using a card to book travel related expenses.
I think for most of us, if the rewards are reduced to ZERO, all of our additictions would be cured instantly, which is why the issuers are so competitive with rewards, especially the sign-up bonus enticements.
It's all myFICO's fault!

OP, you're not done. You don't have arguably the best bank (in terms of rewards): Chase! 3 more cards and you're good: Chase Sapphire, Freedom, Ink are all AF-free.
Also, i just want more cards and/or real high limits so i don't have to micro-manage and pay before statement cuts to manage UTIL. If my overall CL is super high, I can just be normal and PIF after statement cuts and still have a 2% overall UTIL. Can't wait for that day!
i HAD(past tense) the apping problem also. Now i have this:
When i press the "panic" button before apping this happens:
I am addicted to apply for cards too. Recently I started getting denials only for too many new accounts and too many credit inquiries. That's when I know it's time to stop.
