When you complete your balance transfer with Chase online the confirmation page states:
The credit card company you have transferred a balance from may not post this transfer to your account for up to three weeks. Please continue to make payments to this account until the balance transfer has posted.
Expect the worst and you can be pleasantly surprised. Expect the best and you can be disappointed.
