I started with a platinum card in March 2016 from Capital one with a 2k SL. When I called to activate it they made a quicksilver MasterCard without any annual fee. I used the card heavily for 3 months, and I amassed $98 in cash back, then after cutting my 3 statement, I went to my account online and requested a CLI, honestly I was hoping for a 5k limit, but to my surprise I was offered an 8k increase to make my card limit 10k! So I accepted gladly, but my card is still showing as platinum master card when I log online to see my account. Now since I rent a lot of cars, I want to switch this card to world master card because it can add a primary coverage option on the rental car, so when I called to do that, they said that there are no offers on my account as of right now for me to do so. I even asked for it to be PCed to Venture one and they wouldn't do it. Is there someone I can email about that? If you know of such emails can you please send me a private message. Thanks.

Congratulations on the increase! I am sure other forum members can answer your questions about the cards.
Give it a few weeks, They will likely upgrade. Can't expect anything credit related to be instantaneous. A regular rep can help you when you're eligible, Its quick and painless. Mine was upgraded about a month after my big CLI.

You could try emailing the EO. Since the EO email address contains a person's name, we can't post it directly in the Forum. You can Google "Capital One CEO email", if you want to get the information right away.
As for not having a PC offer, they may have considered the move from Platinum to Quicksilver as a PC. If so, you won't likely receive a PC offer for another 3 months, since you can only PC every 6 months.
OP, as your driving factor, you mention getting primary rental coverage as a reason to upgrade.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think that Cap One cards have that benefit, even on their World Mastercard.
Can you give the source that says it does?
If it really doesn't, don't change to the Venture One. It's less rewards and restricted redemption.
I'd suggest getting a card like the Chase Sapphire Preferred (or the United cards) that has primary rental coverage as a stated benefit.
I thought all world master cards have that benefit. I guess I have to look into it further.
Ok that makes sense. By the way, I'm enrolled in the credit steps program, where they will automatically increase my CL after 6 months of paying on time. Do you think they will give me an extra CL after this increase? Did anything like that happen with you?
