I hate cap 1. Help please

So, i applied for a capitol one secured card, and got denied. Not sure why.. I have an auto loan with them that will be 2 years in march, with no lates or anything. I have not had cap one for anything else, ever! so no collections or anything from them. I have a couple charge offs from back in 2005 or earlier.. and the only thing i have in collections, is a t-moble acct.  I've tried calling to see what the reason is why i got denied to a couple diff numbers from backdoor and everyone says they can't access it and it has to be mailed as the reason. Ugh,  i wish i did not even apply.. what a waste. I thought for sure i would get approved.  is there anything elses i can do? can they re open a app to further investigate why the denial? Thanks

I dont think much can be done til you find out the exact reason for denial, so wait for the letter

It;s going to take more than two days to get the letter before the OP can do anything.

It's Capital One, it's going to take them a while. Probably 1-2 weeks is a realistic timeframe.

I do think it's absurd that they can't tell you anything over the phone, I applied for a card (I think it was the Sony card) and they denied me. Absolutely flat out could not tell me what the problem was. And once the letter got to me (took like 7-10 days) it was because I already had 'too many Capital One accounts' (that being 2). You'd think that they could at least tell you that.
