I'd change your addiction to gardening and responsibily managing your lines of credit. Watching your score grow can be just as addicting, and discourage from more app sprees.

Re: I'm Addicted to applying for Cards

15 is a large number of apps in one week.

Start listing them out. In order for you to get in the right frame of mind to stop, first you have to acknowledge what you have applied for, and what the reason was when you applied.

Also list out the cards you were denied. That provides good information back to you also.

If you list them in the sequence you applied, often you can start seeing trends with maybe some approvals initially, but then more and more commonly denials.

Knowing the facts helps you to face the truth about what you did, and to think through next time you decide to app again.

Maybe try to find something else to focus on?

If you had been browsing the "Approvals" section before registering here, I suggest staying out of there.

Re: I'm Addicted to applying for Cards

Not sure if trolling or serious. Could work either way with your first post down thread of "apply for it". If you think there's an apping issue, freeze your reports and seriously stay away from the approvals section. When you start setting up all those online accounts, you may find its more than you want to keep up with. If you think you'll be tempted to over use all of em just cut em up, light em on fire, freeze em in ice or something. Climbing out of a mountain of CC debt is not fun.

Re: I'm Addicted to applying for Cards

Once every lender has turned you down you'll get tired of applying and find something else to move on to. In all seriousness you will be rejected more than you'll be approved if you keep this up and you'll only dig your future rejection hole even deeper by piling up inquiries.

Take whatever you currently have and appreciate it, nurture it and build it, and in time, your apping itch like all things, shall pass, good luck.

I hate to say it, but being on this forum is probably the worst possible thing for you.
