Re: I need BOA Exec #

Your BoA cc's have been opened for over 5 years and they've been maxed out for 'awhile'?
Had you asked for any CLI's from them?

To OP:

You said some cards are maxed out, and some are not.

How many are still maxed out right now? And how many were maxed out until recently?

Also to add:
Is there a reason why you had to have a few cards maxed out while dragging high balances? Medical emergency? Or just splurging beyond your means? If you have a valid reason to explain to them, then it may help your case.

Yes i usually keep my cards maxed or close to max unless i wanted to apply for credit.

No not yet. But i was planning on asking after I got my util in order not thinking this was even possible.

They will all be mostly paid off this month, so i can't really tell u which is what just know that i will pay down everything. The only thing now is im scared if i pay my other BOA card that has a high balance they will try and screw me on that also so im just going to switch it to a signature card and leave it the way it is so it doesn't affect my util.

For me its the right thing to do to keep my credit cards with high balances when im not applying. I don't understand everyone else plays the fico game but when I try this crap happens. Its not like I don't have the money to pay off all my cards or its not like I dont make enough money with my job.

Re: I need BOA Exec #

BofA has started to report CLs on their signature cards so it will be factored into utilization.

Having high balances is okay as long as you pay it off in full. Having high balances and paying only minimums, only to be bombarded with all kinds of finance fees, is not. Is there a reason why you rather pay interests than to pay them off?

If you need to drag balances, why not consider a line of credit or personal loan instead?

Because I use my cc's to make money and the lines as leverage for me which has been very useful too me. I could do that but getting credit cards and higher limits seem to be easier than loans. Unless u can suggest something I don't know but it would be to much hassle for me to pif every month versus let my balances report and pay interest.

Re: I need BOA Exec #

Its easy to get a high limit line of credit and/or personal loan as long as you can provide documents to prove income, or even provide collateral to secure the loan. Rates are usually better, and more importantly, you won't be stuck in the same situation you are in right now.

Anytime you drag high balances on multiple cards you are going to run into issues eventually.

When did they start reporting the signature cards? I was always aware that it didn't count towards the util? Isn't that why u would even get a signature card?
