I dont know if anyone caught my previous post about a week ago but BofA kept accepting and denying my application they counter-offered with a platinum plus. The approval took 4 inq's on my Exp report. I was kind of upset expecially when I got the reason for my denial. I wrote a nice recon letter.
They state I previously filed bankruptcy or have an account included in a bankruptcy.
I have never and thanks to you guys will never have to file bankruptcy. Checked my report dont see what they are getting this from.
I need help on what I should do next.... Dont want that many inq's on my report for a card that I didnt really want. The several approvals then denials is what is making me mad

tempus, your best bet probably is to call one of the BofA Backdoor Numbers (stickied up top on this thread), explain VERY NICELY the craziness you were put through and ask if it might be possible for BofA to remove 2 or three of the extra inqs, under such circumstances as this. They were kind enough to remove an extra inq I ended up with in a goofed-up app process last Spring, so you might have some success that way.
Definitely approach that call as you asking them sweetly for help - don't be angry or threatening, when you call.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Hopefully they will remove some of the inq's. My only problem is I dont know where they got this bankruptcy from.
Prior to requesting reconsideration of your application for this card, I would recommend that you obtain copies of all three credit reports to see exactly how this old Chase account is being reported and look for any additional information that you may be able to dispute and have your reports corrected.
After you accomplish any needed correction, then request reconsideration for this card.
