I thought Comenity cards didn't report unless you use them?

My crappy moment of weakness Overstock card just reported, and I haven't used it.

They always report when you open.   And these days, they even report the CLIs without usage...they just don't let you be eligible for more CLIs without use.

Comenity cards are reporting without useage and the same goes for updates to credit limits to the cra's. It seems they are not giving cli's without use though.

My Comenity card hasn't reported in over a year.  But if it is a new account, it does report whether you use it or not.

Yes, my J Crew card reported for the first time without use.

I'm not sure about comments saying they won't give CLI if you don't use it.  I haven't used my J Crew card in months, and only one time ever and I got 11x CLI for a total increase of $3300 about a week ago.

well i can't say this is true. as ive not used my Jcrew card since last november. My last increase was 3 weeks ago. from $5500 to $9100. it has not reported yet. since ive not used it. but im gonna give it time to report with out buying the $21 dollar socks.

I just went through the same thing. Fell out of the garden anyway, so I thought I might as well take advantage of Overstock's SCT. I was hoping that if I didn't use it yet it wouldn't report til I did.. nope... they reported the new account today  Oh well, live and learn.

Yeah, me too. My 180 day CLI for my Amex ED is coming up in September. I didn't want anything new showing up! So far, it's only on EQ. Maybe it won't show up on EX before then. Oh, and now I'm worried about my other moment of weakness card - Sportsman's Guide - showing up.

Oh, and on the topic of no CLI's unless the card is used. I got one as soon as I setup the account. In a couple days it'll be a month so I'll be trying again.
