Cards have different benefits and shortcomings.
If a card was best in all categories, everyone would have that card.
Do you want points for travel, cashback, large Cl's, fast growing, low-Apr, insurance, Sub ?
The FOTM has been the AOD with 3% everything, no cap and low APR.
I would put it at #1 for my needs, but everyone has different spend, and needs.
My favorite card, minus the horrible design, is my BoA PR. The earning potential is great (at higher Preferred Rewards tiers) and the card pays me to use it. Coincidentally, it is in the SD, but I hope to use it as my main card someday. I might always keep my 5% rotating category cards, but this might be my "everything else" card when I get higher into the tiers of Preferred Rewards.
Oh, and my current APR is 17.99%.
NFCU More Rewards @ 11.99%. It has 3% on most of my daily spend, and yet I'm still blowing threw HHS which has the same categories.
Disco & Cap1 QS are my backups to fraud transactions. These cards are 99% approved.
@Anonymous wrote:@Kforce which card did you just get, If I may ask?
My last card was the USAlliance 3% cashback, 3-4 months ago.
Got it about a month before the AOD came out.
Second last FNBO Travel Elite, 5+ years prior.
Only have the card's in signature plus two old CU cards (SD) with no rewards but ~24+ years history.
Discover is the first card to keep giving me the highest credit limit out of all my cards. Their Discover IT has 4 versions technically as they have Discover IT then Discover IT Chrome, but they also have two student versions of those cards which I have for one. I only know my new PSECU card has say a 13% APR, but the rest usually are above 20%-30% APR regularly unless there's a 0% APR promotion
bc of my short history and thin file, my aod is my favorite. 3% cash back, 8.99% apr, and 10.5k sl. lowest apr and highest credit limit out of my 5 cards. they give a decent line of credit as well so i've seen.
my favorite card to use and look at is my apple card 😍 it's so simple but beautiful; i always get compliments whenever i use it.
Now that I am shifting to saving as much as possible, my AOD card is pretty much the only one I need. 8.99% APR, 3% cash back on everything. It doesn't really get any better for a general purpose spend card and the $5K limit is more than enough for me to stay under 8.9% utilization each month.
Amazon Store Card was my previous favorite because of the 5% on Amazon but it's definitely not going to get the use it was before.
Favorite credit card: Superman DC Power Visa....dont have
APR? MAY never get it
Good Line Of Credit: Navy $500 ....again dont have it
