Do you bank there? What is your AAoA? Ever burn BoA in the past? Have you tried the pre qualify? Yes, I know it is rather non binding.

Boa prequals are pretty much useless. If you say you are looking for cash back, odds are theyll recommend their cashback card.

K-In-Boston and myself have both had good experience with BoA and high utilization on their cards, but I don’t know if there are experiences where they don’t mind high utilization on other accounts.

What Joe said. Their pre-qualifies are useless. They push the cash awards card and when denied they offer the secured which is like $300 for the deposit last I checked.  And they prefer people who bank with them.

Re: IS BOA high util friendly?

When you go on their preapproval site, look for a card offer with a fixed APR instead of the 14%-24% range quote. That’s usually (but not always) a pretty good sign that you’ll be approved.

I can also say they increased my CL from 4k to 6k when I was at 88% UTI on my Platinum Plus card last October. I do bank with them and my scores were in the 730 range so that helped.
