If you could only carry 2 credit cards in your purse / wallet. What would they be?
I'll be applying for an Amex Gold in a few weeks and want to supplement that with a non Amex for places that don't accept Amex. I could just fall back to the plain ol' debit card.
I have only about $2500 / $3000 worth of spend a month and I'm not sure if it's worth it to spread it scores multiple cards?
I plan to put my Discover and Amex Delta Gold in a drawer while having some auto pay stuff attached to them to keep them alive.
What would you do?
I would really look at getting a Visa/MasterCard .. possibly 2/3%'er.
There are many flavor's .. and you will get opinions that vary.

By % do you mean cash back? Could you recommend a few perhaps?
Schwab Platinum - Perks, flights, stuff that can break, sketchy merchants.
BofA Premium (Platinum Honors) - Taxes, bills, Costco and other no-Amex merchants, dining, non-flight travel.
Chase out of loyalty and AmEx since its my largest CL.

I have a Schawab account and have looked at that. But is there a min checking or brokerage balance required to get the Schawab Amex Platinum? The MR points conversion is nice.

I was thinking Chase Sapphire Reserve and Amex Gold. But that would be over kill in AF. Plus I get all the CSR benifits through Delta now anwyay for being Diamond.

I don't think so. I think account balances only play a role in the loyalty credit.
