Re: Im going with CITI Basic Checking acct.

I can post details when the packet arrives.  It was a link on my summary page offering an upgrade for my account and said my account qualified for upgrade so not sure.  I clicked the link and it said your package is on its way.  BTW you can link up your sears card and payments will reflect instantanious after they are linked.

Re: Im going with CITI Basic Checking acct.

I am not a big fan of TY points but I do like banking with Citi.

1 - You can use your Citi Debit Card (Mastercard) for Citi Private Pass events. Like Amex and other companies, if you enter your citi card # when purchasing event tickets you may be able to score better seats that haven't been released to the public yet. Its a nice perk that I've used a few times over the years.

2 - The online payments work well and I like how you can receive a invoice alert showing the company and amount due through their website. Yes, I get that on email but its a nice check list to have when it comes to pay bills.

Re: Im going with CITI Basic Checking acct.

So my package never came...I called and spoke with a very pleasant service rep at the One Stop Sales line (800) 321-2484

the rewards are credited monthly at statement cut...mine still shows as 0

Account needs to have one direct deposit and one bill pay in the month to be able to earn rewards.... and it seems only the bill pays count for rewards none of the debit card activity with the account.Smiley Frustrated

I need to keep moving spending away from here.  I have been putting about $20k per year through this debit card.

I also found out the max overdraft line is $5k and a line increase is a HP
