I'm loving AMEX... I ran 2k in charges within 10 days... and then easily set up a PIF for today through their phone app. Even though I checked my spending limit at 2k, they allowed me to go all the way to $2057.... I think I"m in love with this new card! If this was Discover, they would have fraud alerted me by now I'm sure and I'd be getting phone calls from their 1-800 number!
I got the card on 2/11/12... Most pleased so far! Other users have similar experiences??
cool! Same here around 2500 for the spending ability feature --- then 5000 then 7000 and now at 12500. I changed it to the Zync though from Gold. Planning to clse my zync since I got the Hilton Honors approved just today... should I?
I've actually never submitted a payment via telephone ~ I have used the website and also their mobile phone application. Payments are extremely fast and easy to submit with both of these.
I guess

I guess that would depend on your spending style... Do you use Hilton a lot for work travel... if yes, I would keep the Zync, to help with AAoA, and use it for things like the cable bill. Ulitmately its up to you! How long have you had the Zync / Gold cards?

Zync/Gold ---> 1 year and 2 months.
For the 25$ fee for the ZYNC, I wouldn't close it, just to have at least one charge account with AMEX. It will only help to have it show as open on a CR.

Actually some pleasant news on AMEX letting a new cardholder spend without throwing the F/R penalty card at you!! Awesome!
For a thin credit file, this is where a charge card is infinitely superior to a credit card with a hard limit.
In most cases, hard CLs take 6 months (usually some small token 20% - 30% increase) and years of history to raise to an adequate level. Charge cards allow for much faster and accelerated spending ability.
In 4 or 5 months, you can have a NPSL of $5k+ easily.

I really want that AMEX Zync or Green, I probably could get it in 6 months but I want to be absolutely 100% sure I get it and go for it in January. Maybe they"ll soft me in 6 months withe their prepaid being used and give me some good news!!!
