15 to 20 percent can come in handy....especially if combined with the friends and family 25 percent off if they are still offering it. Damn HP's though. Do you know what Macy's or Target pulls?

Just saw a Macy's AMEX....hmmmm...

Macys pulls EX... Apply in store!

target use to be EQ

My EX and EQ is loaded with inquiries...need one who is TU friendly!

Target can also be TU depending on the region.  A friend of mine applied over a year ago and was approved for the REDcard $1,500, they pulled TU (in OH).  Of course, you know how Target can be with assigning low CLs if your profile is less than ideal so YEMV.

If I apply at the register for a card like Macy's or Brooks Brothers, will I be required to provide my employment and annual income information?

As a former employee of Macy's yes you must include your annual income and employment information on your credit application.  Furthermore, don't ask for your definitive credit limit because they no longer provide A specified number.  There will be times where you may even be asked to put down a certain amount of cash, then pay the rest on your account.

I don't know how long ago you worked for them but they don't ask for employer anymore... just a range of income.

they also do report and give credit lines again, they did away with the very unpopular no pre-set limit thing they tried.
