I think since Double Cash is kind of the first 2% card on the market (other than Fidelity Amex, which requires a Fidelity acct), other issuers may have to step up their games eventually. If Double Cash becomes a popular card, people aren't going to want just 2% some places anymore. The category spend %'s will have to go up to 3% or something.
I'd like to see CapOne come out with a 2% card, Even if it was a "Premium" product only available with VS or WMC
There is no percentage that would make up for having to deal with CapOne!
ok fine yeah there is a percentage, but it aint 2%!!
So, I want a good metric on your hatred of Cap One. What is the percentage!

I'm ashamed to say 3% flat. Hell maybe even 2.5% flat.

It's really not hatred beyond venting online on random internet forums... CapOne actually taught me a valuable lesson in helping me realize it's all business and all about the money. It's not a relationship and they aren't a person. It is what it is and I honestly didn't realize this before running up against the CapOne wall.
Even with banks like Chase where they behave in a way that indicates that they value their relationship with you, it's still just business and they simply approach the business in a different way. They value the money they make from fostering the relationship and nothing more.
So yeah... I am nothing more than blowing smoke! No matter how hard the lesson was to learn, its been learned and I simply approach them differently now. My QS is in my SD and I simply don't expect it to ever be anything other than what it is and I'm fine with that.

I'd go for a 3% CapOne...
Has anyone seen the new Costco CapOne? Laughs abound.

OK, I admit to being somewhat disappointed, hoping more for "I'll take a Cap One card when you push it into my cold dead hands" But ok.

Oh, does Cap One have funeral rebates too? Not a Cap One fan here either. They tried to put the screws to me after a decades long relationship. I cancelled a couple cards of theirs.
It's easy to question the Sallie Mae card because it seems too good to be true. Now almost every purchase on Amazon, I get the message I should be using my Chase/Amazon card and get 3% rebate! Yeah right, I want to surrender 40% more cash back to use your card, Amazon!
Looks like ill be adding salliemae to my collection. Seems to me that the are a TU puller for the majority.

You may laugh, but a capone costco card could be possible, if amex and costco break up.

If it's anything like Canada's CapOne Costco card, I'll pass.
The current AmEx Costco card is a lackluster as well. It gives you what, like 2%? And you had to allocate one out of 4 precious AmEx revolver card slots? Nty. I'll use my Surpass.
even so, I believe CrapOne can do worse.
