Inquiries for CLI Requests?

Hello all,

I was wondering if CLI's have the same effect on your credit as actually applying for a new card? Or what type of effect they have at all?

I've religiously been working on repairing my credit after dealing with some stupid college-age decisions (stupid, stupid me)....so far about 100 points in 2 years! Trying to buy a house in the next 6 months if all keeps going well *fingers crossed*!

Most issuers will do CLIs with only a soft anda good payment history.  But ASK!!  Some are notorious for requiring pulls and yes they affect you just like any other inquiries.

When is the cycle? I am on my 7th month, and they check me every couple of months. The next check will reveal they are my lowest CL, so I am interested Smiley Happy

Re: Inquiries for CLI Requests?

Bad news about Chase. Was considering chatting them up tomorrow on my day off. Also need to call my dental insurance provider...hmm...that'll be fun. Haha, thinking out loud through posting. Thanks Fico Forums. You remind me of my daily itinerary.
