Inquiry Question

Hi all.

I app'd for a Kay's card, a Juniper card and an Orchard in the middle of June. I pulled my EQ report just a few minutes ago and I see that hard pulls were initiated by both Sterling and BarclaysBK on the day that I app'd. Are these parent companies of Juniper or Orchard? Just want to make sure that those two hard pulls are associated with the app's I made.

Sterling is Kay.

Barclay's is Juniper.

Are you saying that Juniper pulled EQ?  Very strange.  They normally pull TU exclusively.

Edit to add:  Just so you're not surprised when you see it, the Orchard inquiry will likely show up on EX as HSBC NV.

Re: Inquiry Question

Barclay's owns Juniper. Don't know about Kay's.
Filed Chapter 13 April 2012. Case successfully closed May 2017, about 1 month after 60th payment. FAKO scores on close date: TU 695 EQ 697. Received discharge July 11th - took forever! Real EX day of discharge 624.

Cheddar,

Yeah, those are the only two inquiries listed on my Equifax report as of about 30 mins ago when I pulled EQ to check my score. Both were pulled on the same day in June. I was approved for the Orchard card but denied for the Kay's and Juniper cards. So yeah, if BarclaysBK is Juniper, it's on my EQ report.

Maybe they did so due to my proximity to Atlanta, possibly?

Kay's is Sterling.
Juniper is Barclays.
Orchard is HSBC.

And you're sure that the second pull was Barclays/Juniper? That's really interesting! As cheddar said, that's just about unheard of for them to pull EQ. (This is why we're all so startled, LOL.) Maybe they've finally gotten sick of TU, too.

HSBC pulled EQ on me for the Best Buy store card.
Barclays pulled TU on me for the Barnes and Noble MC.
