Are the total amount of inquiries on your report considered when you apply for a card or, just the inquiries that are used in calculating your score within the last year? Can't seem to find a definitive answer. Thank you!
Long story made short
New INQ's ding for 6 months and are no longer a Fico scoring factor after a year old but remain on CR for 2 years
That being said some lenders will still consider them when evaluating a CR such as Chase and Barclay who are known to be INQ sensitive so yes the total amount can be a factor

+1 Chase does not like inquiries.
@sr383 wrote:So, if you were applying for Barclay or Chase, along with some other (non-inquiry sensitive) card, would you be better offer apping for the Barclay or Chase first, or are they paying so much attention that they're going to notice the other one, even if it comes later?
Neither of them like to see more than 2 or 3 (max) in the last 6 months. I've seen Chase get hinky about 3.

Chase yes first
Barclay no last
IMO others may feel differently
