Re: Interest Rates

Let's see... I have a BOA AMEX at 9.99% fixed (0% BT) and a WAMU/Providian at 32% variable. Guess what got BT'ed where? The problem is that that WAMU card has a $3900 CL and is 8.5 years old so it is here to stay Think they will ever decrease that rate? WAMU is so psychotic I'm afraid to ask. Maybe when I am six billing cycles and a couple of PIF lunches past the BT, at which time they will probably tell me to reapp and merge so I get stuck with an inquiry over it. If they really wanted to be spiteful they could CLD that card into oblivion. They won't do that though - they will leave it sit as is, collect the annual fee and hope at some time in the future I am stupid enough to carry a balance again. Fat chance.

Re: Interest Rates

Lowest is Nordstrom: 5% (prime + 0, this is where my only non-0% balance is; however, no incoming BT allowed)

Highest is Express: 22% (God help me if I'm ever carrying a balance on this)

BofA product change is in process, hope I'll get a 9.9% on that.

All of my other cards are at the lowest offered by the program, except...

Amex Blue (relatively new) at 11.?%, and I'm working on it.

Re: Interest Rates

BofA PP Visa w/WP 16.24
Chase Flex Rewards 19.99

Chase wouldn't budge btw asked them twice this month for APR reduction to match or exceed BofA. Chase is relatively new since Feb.

BofA dropped rates all year for me without asking exceeding fed rate drops. Pretty pleased with them. Probably dropped me to better tier pricing after nearly two years of perfect history.

Awesome! I am going to wait a year and try to get it lowered again. I have had this card for 2 years and it is actually my "go to" card. I can either pay in full or run a balance (no longer than 3 months). Have been wondering about changing to Clear; would you think it better or worse? It seems to have more perks.

Clear is the way to go if fees are important to you. No BT fees makes Clear an attractive card.
