Interesting CLI decline reason

I recenlty applied for a CLI on my Wally card. Got the letter today and the number one reason is:

"Too few premium bankcard accounts"

What does GEMB consider to be a sufficient number of premium accounts and who the heck are they considering premium?

I Have a Wells Fargo Visa, Barclays Visa, 2 CU Visas... Those are not premium?

Oh well, at least it wasn't a HP!

Hmm interesting. Maybe they mean national banks? Like Chase, Citi, BofA, Capital One, etc.

Man, can they come up with the wackiest reasons.

They will absolutely come up with anything to say and feel good about saying it.

Re: Interesting CLI decline reason

I thought I was the only one getting crazy reasons like you. I was told, because I used the card too much in the past 18 months that i'm not eiligible for an increase. i used it to buy a laptop year and a half ago because of the interest free financing.

I am almost tempted to call and ask what a "premium bankcard" is. I have Cap1, Barclays, and Wells Fargo in my card portfolio. I would think Wells would be looked at as a premium card.
