@audioman00, If you have no luck with another front line rep?, ask to escalate to a supervisor.
Just a quick update here. Spoke with a supervisor yesterday who said that they would expedite the request, but that it might take until September to show up as closed on my credit report. Woke up this morning to an alert that the account has been disputed on my CRs and a 12 - 15 point score drop. The account still reports as open as of 8/5. So obviously SYNC knows how to update my credit report - why the heck can't they just update it to show that the account is closed?
Also, what's with the 12 - 15 point score drop for the dispute remark? Account is $0 bal, no baddies, etc.

What's the tradeline? Which card? Trying to understand why you couldn't just close your card...unless it's something different.
Losing utl. padding (while it's disputed perhaps?) is probably why your scores dropped but that's a guess without seeing your full cr.
