Is 0.14% UTL too low for optimal scoring?

Many people on here have indicated for optimal scoring to have all cards report at $0, and one card report a balance.

Does the balance on the one card have to be between 1-9%, or does it suffice to simply have a balance on the card (i.e. Balance >$1)?

Here's what my current Utilization looks like...

US Bank    0/1000 ----> 0% UTL

Cap One      0/500----> 0% UTL

Cap One     5/2000---> 0.3% UTL

Overall UTL--->0.14%

Utilization is always rounded up.  1% is the lowest (non-zero amount) you can go.

1% may be too low for your ideal.  You'd have to experiment to find your exact ideal.  But it is likely somewhere between 1% and 9% on one card.

Starting Score: ~500 (12/01/2008)
Current Score: EQ 681 (04/05/13); TU 98 728 (01/06/12), TU 08? 760 (provided by Barclay 1/2/14), TU 04 728 (lender pull 01/12/12); EX 742 (lender pull 01/12/12)
Goal Score: 720

Thanks Walt.  So you are saying my 0.14% would be rounded to 1%....

I'm waiting for one cc to report on the 4th, then I'll know what the baseline is for 1%, and maybe play around with it next month too.
