I have read several posts stating cardholders have recieved CLI on their seured Capital One card. I've contactd them on Facebook, I've hit the LUV button, I emailed and got a email reply and all responses have stated we do not increase limits on secured cards. Can someone explain this to me????
Some people on the forums have reported getting them. I haven't received an auto CLI on my secured card since I've had it (1 year). Nor have I added more funds to increase it myself. I have since applied and approved for the QS1 and will just keep the secured card until I decide to close it. My other Cap1 is an HSBC conversion. There are lots of mixed reviews about that card.
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
I received a CLI on my secured card from Capital One!
I had the secured card $200. limit. Then I received the QS1 with a $500. limit at the same time they increased my secured to $500 automatically.
Starting Score: 675EQ 698 TUI had my secured card for two years when my credit limit went from $200 (secured two years earlier with $49) to $750. Now I'll be curious to see if I'll get another increase at the end of this month, as it will have been 6 months since the initial unsecured increase.
In terms of the 'luv button'--I've been told you can't request an unsecured increase ever on the secured card. You can only increase on your own via additional deposit. The CLI I received at the end of April was a total surprise. We'll see if it was a one-time thing or not. :-)

I can tell you. It's a fact. That it's not myth.
But let me explain to you.
As as ive helped many. As many has helped me.
If you call they will say no. Facebook and all will say no. But. After you've had card for 6 months. Heavy usage. And multiple pays per month. They will give you cli m
but the fact they gave you cli means you are then eligible for non secured cards. Don't keep fighting for mire after first increase. Just apply for other cards. As after that. Card did it's purpose. Improved your credit. It will not keep growing after that. I keep it as appreciation to cap 1. But I no longer use. Except for a donut or two each month. I think I put about 300 total in card. But 1000 limit. That 300 is just investment. I don't need it. So it will stay there. Hope you understand now. Good luck.
