Re: Is Walmart Still Upgrading Store Cards?

Until they change their UPGRADE=NEW ACCOUNT policy, I'm sticking with the store card.

Other than using it outside of Walmart, I can't see any benefit of the MC version and there are plenty of better credit cards to use outside.

$150 to $3500 in 9 months and 712 TU... no upgrade here

I'm kind of agree no SL 600. 1st increase. 150. To 750. What. Then last week. 750 to 1450. Store card. So in will keep little longer. Even I dont use it.

Re: Is Walmart Still Upgrading Store Cards?

Walmart store card $600 SL... $100 auto CLI at 6 months... $200 auto CLI at 9 months... nothing else for the next 5 months.

All my CLI requests were denied...  we are talking about a $900 Walmart card.

I closed the account last month... I've got better cards than their MC anyway.

Good riddance.

The reports of the upgrades have definitely slowed down. Not sure that I've seen one in a while. But, I like many others, wouldn't wish it on someone either. Not worth the new trade line.

I think the Sam's M/C would be a better option...... the 5% on gas is fantastic!

That was a big reason I went for that card though they countered with the store card and the card is way less conservative than Wal-Mart's when it comes to the CL.

As already said the MC isn't worth the new TL if you even get an upgrade offer in the next 5 years.

Interesting, can you PC to the the Sam's M/C or is it by invitation only?
