Is a best buy recon possible?

I'm new to the board, been stalking for a while getting great tips and info. I've recently went on a apping spree smh I've gotten approved for a few store cards and only have one major card. I applied for a best buy store card and was declined for too many inquiries, does anyone know if it worth trying to recon? The incompetent guy I spoke with when I received the denial said to apply again in 30 days.

I'm new to all of this credit correcting and what not so please bare with me

Welcome to the forum. Generally a denial based on too many inqs is a sign to garden for at least 6 mos.

How many inqs and in what time frame ?

Thanks! Probably like 6 over the last two months, but I was just approved for a Barclays card. I apped to best buy because I didn't think I had many inquiries where they pull from but I guess I was wrong lol.

I had at least that many (6) inqs. when I applied and got approved. But I was going for the Mastercard and didn't qualify so I got the store card. Were you going for the M/C also?

I didn't have an option, I guess it was just a general app for either card?

This is one of Citi's latest private label acquisitions.  Citi is just not that very recon friendly and not a lot of folks have posted any success in doing so after the Capital One > Citi transition so, IMO, I doubt a recon is even possible given what the reasons for denial.  You can try your luck again when your credit file is more optimal for approval and those inquires have aged.
