Is it only Discover who...

...offers you 0% APR rates on purchases after their initial promotional period? My 0% rate will be up with Citi in Mar and I really need another card for this purpose. I don't want to apply for new credit. Was hoping I could go to one of the cards I currently have and ask them if they're willing to give me another promo period? 6 additional months would be great!

Good to know it's not only Discover.

LOL my Citi TYP is the card that's running out. From your post, I gather that if they do offer it, it's not done often(hence having it two decades and only getting the offer now)? I might have to apply for a new card.

Out of my cards, Discover seems to be the only one who continues to offer 0% BT offers (with a fee though) all the time.

Citi has 0% BT offers but they come up once in a while. I have seen a couple over the past 4-5 months. I took one of them.

Not BT offers.  Another 0% promotional period on purchases so you won't pay interest for carrying a balance from month to month. A BT offer is to transfer a balance once interest free. I need a card that will allow me to carry a balance for my monthly bills while I pay down these balances from taking advantage of two BT offers.
