Fixed APR for what? There are all sorts of cc's out there that are fixed. There are some that are variables.

Indeed.  Asked for a fixed from Juniper.  Got it to 13.99% fixed.

I have gotten a few APR's fixed but you have to be eligable for them. I have amex blue 12.99 fixed, BOA plat 6.90 fixed(rate jacked in jan to 13.99 var. but was told if i pay my balance off i can request a lower fixed rate again grrr Smiley Mad ) working on a few cards in a few months. I always try to lower or get my rate fixed when i can.

Re: Is it possible to ask for a FIXED APR?

A couple of years ago, a Chase rep gave me the choice of having either an 8.9% Fixed or a Prime+0.49% Variable APR on one of my cards.  I chose the Variable, even though generally, I prefer a Fixed APR.  Both my AMEX and BoA cards have fixed APRs.
