Is it possible to lock Credit Report ?

Looks like things are getting worse in the industry and every one is pulling the CR every time they feel like pulling it. Is there any way to lock the CR so no one can pull the report with out my permission?

Can we lock all 3 CR's from one place or do we have to do from 3 different places? I have CreditSecure from Amex and TrueCredit.

I want to lock all 3 CR's so no one can pull my CR's. Any thoughts / suggestions?

You may also want to opt out so companies cannot pull your report for "prescreened" offers of credit. The number to call is 888-567-8688.
