I did a search, but couldn't find what I was looking for. I've already seen this information posted somewhere, but after readying so many forums and threads I haven't been able to find it again.
I recently received two cards from Capital One, a QS One and a Platinum. I know you can request a CLI with the luv button somewhere between the 61-91 day mark which doesn't effect the possible auto CLI from their steps program after the 5th statement.
What I'm trying to figure out is when are you available to request a CLI after that?
Ideally I would like to grow both cards as much as possible over the next year and PC the Platinum to a QS and combine both cards.
I also know that Capital One loves heavy usage on their cards, so I have been showing both cards love. One will be PIF when the statements cut and the other a 1%-9% utilization balance.

6 months from the date of the last increase.
after the 5th statement did not work for me. the 3rd statment did. when i tried after the 5th statement they told me that I recently, 2 statements ago, received an increase, pretty much they told me I need to wait. I guess 5th statement does not work for everyone.

User initiated CLIs have to be 6 months apart. Credit step increases are auto and don't apply.

So does this mean you can do a your first CLI increase at 61 days and six months after that do a second request with a step increase in the middle or does it have to be 6 months after the step increase?
I just want to make sure I understand correctly so I can grow this QS1 as much as possible and combine it with another card before I get hit with the next AF fee.
Thank you for all the replies!
If its a new card you can request your first cli before 6 months...after that its every 6month exactly that you can request a cli.
thanks for all of the responses. now it is super clear to me. so since I got my cli at 3rd statement I will not try to cli until the 9th statement mark and I will get a credit steps sometime in between that. thanks
