Is there really a Discover it 'Balance Transfer' card?

Setting aside my pet peeve of seemingly everyone claiming they have a "Discover-IT" card (incorrectly placing a dash and capital IT for some unexplained reason) and not stating which Discover it card they actually have (Cash Back, Chrome, Miles, etc.), I have a question.  Smiley Happy  (Sorry, couldn't help IT Smiley Wink ).

Is there a Discover it Balance Transfer card?  I don't see a card by this name on Disco's site.  https://www.discover.com/credit-cards/

I see the Balance Transfer card on WalletHub and, honestly, I can't tell how it differs from the Cash Back card.  And, in fact, the irony is that the Cash Back card advertises 0% 15 months (purchases) and the Balance Transfer card does not.

Maybe I am missing something.  But I am curious if there is a Discover it card actually called 'Balance Transfer'.  Never heard of it before.

Re: Is there really a Discover it 'Balance Transfer' card?

it looks like it must be exclusive to those offers from the 3rd parties, but it does exist with seemingly slightly different APR terms than the regular discover it

discover it 15 months 0% apr on purchases and balance transfers

discover it balance transfer

0% intro APR‡ for 18 months on balance transfers

0% intro APR‡ for 6 months on purchases

Nice find GZG, thanks.

It just seems so odd to me to have a card called 'Balance Transfer'.  What happens after the first 18 months are up and 2, 3, 5 years go by?  Do you still say you have a Discover it Balance Transfer card?  Or do you start calling it the Discover it Cash Back card at some point, lol?  Smiley Very Happy

It's a legit and strong dependable card for BTs.

I have the card, and they are constantly sending offers, even when there is a balance still on the card.

Used the offer to zero out my auto loan, WF balance of 6k, and a few others.

Started at 4.5k<17k and growing.

Is the 0% term longer than 12 months? I get constant offers for BTs on my Discover It, at 0% for 12 months. I miss the BTsoffers from Cap One that were 18 months.

Heres what I find puzzling in my case. I have 2 discover IT cash back cards and on my experian report one reports as discover balance transfer and the other reports as discover only. the one that reports as a balance transfer card I never used for a balance transfer.

Scratching my head.

Re: Is there really a Discover it 'Balance Transfer' card?

The green one is the balance transfer card it was one of the first cards I picked up and regularly receive balance transfer offers on it. Not a bad card to have.

Re: Is there really a Discover it 'Balance Transfer' card?

IIRC, the default color schemes Discover uses (unless you choose a different card design when applying) is Green for the BT card, Maroon/dark red for the Cash Back, the multicolor for student Cash Back, silver for Chrome, Silver for student Chrome,  dark grey for the secured card (also a Chrome even if not explicitly stated), and blue for the Travel card (effectively a 1.5% card).  I only see the BT card on 3rd party sites though like WalletHub and CK.  CK at times has pushed the BT card for me.
