As ive been posting, my ex is decently lower than my other scores.. I just read somewhere that if i freeze my ex, the CC companies will have to pull another?? Is this true??

Not necessarily true. When I applied for Discover, the attempted to pull from Experian but my report was frozen. I called them and asked them to pull Transunion since it was not frozen and they happily obliged. However, your experience may differ from company to company as some companies will pull "exclusively" from only one credit bureau and give you the "either unfreeze your report or we will not process your application."

Before this goes any further, freezing a CR so that a lender is forced to pull a 'better' CR is frowned upon at myFICO.

I guess I should add that all three of my reports were frozen and I could only, at the time, unfreeze my transunion for free, which is why I asked them to pull that instead!

It depends on the lender. I've read where a lender has asked for the particular CR to be unfrozen, or that the "unlock code" be furnished.
