I know the feeling. I have 3 cards that have been closed for 19 months still sitting on my account. You can call and set up a new profile with the card(s) you have open - that is the only way around it. I decided that wasting my time with them on the phone did not outweigh the annoyance of seeing the closed cards.
I would try the hang up call again method. Previous posters have reported success and that is what was suggested to me by chat; but they did say I would need to call in order to do it.
I had several closed accounts that disappeared after the webste "upgrade"
I did not do anything except nicknamed them "CLOSED"
All I see is my active accounts.
YMMV

Thankfully none of my creditors do that. I'd be annoyed!DW finally got upgraded to the newer Chase site in the past month, but prior to that she had a closed cobranded card on there that had been closed for about 7 years! Fortunately they at least have an option (buried, but there) to hide/show accounts.

I just did an account combination, QS1 into my QS, which then closed the QS1. I figured I could call in and get a CSR to unenroll them from my online banking like they did in the past, however apparently they’re not able to do that anymore and it just sits there for months if not years.
That’s so frustrating, has anyone been able to successfully do this recently?
My account from my account combination fell off about a year after I closed it. Not sure why they remove some and keep others, but there's always a chance of it dropping off on it's own.
