$6M/yr in spend. Now that's wealth.

Yeah, he also has other cards I don't know how much he puts on them. I saw one time he paid with a VISA INFINITE card, I read it as "expensive". I hope I could retire like that, or even close to that. LOL. Gotta work.

If he used that, then he must be really loaded..

Is VISA INFINITE a upgrade version of VISA Signature? I got really confused when it comes to VISA, many banks in HK offer VISA INFINITE and seems not very hard to get (but I dont have one). Is it as exclusive as Cent?

@Anonymous,

No, it is not "exclusive" like the centurion.  The VISA Infinite is considered the AMEX Cent. and Chase Palladium in most countries who don't have access to Chase and Amex cards.  Affluent people around the world have to meet a certain $$$ in assets, income etc. to get the VISA Infinite.  The benefits of the Infinite mirror the benefits of Amex Cent. and the Palladium card.  The main difference between the VISA Infinate and the VISA Signature is you have "concierge services, access to lounges, no blackout dates on flights, personal shoppers if you happen to shop at Harrod's and many more".  You don't get any of those with VISA Signature.

If I'm right, I've used complementary concierge service on my CSP before. Its a Visa Sig. Maybe Chase outsourced it and make their cards look better?

It looks like there is a new exclusive card in town according to FT.  It's called the Merrill Lynch Octave and requires 10M in assets with ML and is invitation only.

A colleague of mine received his Octave a couple weeks ago, the thing is awesome. Seemed to weigh about as much as the Palladium and is all black with the Merrill Lynch bull and cardholder info etched on the front. Must be the most exclusive card in the States at the moment.

By count maybe.  The posted rewards structure is, well, interesting... will have to see what traction it gets:

  • 20% off the base fare of up to 2 roundtrip coach tickets per itinerary

Thats the sole benefit? What about annual fee?

I guess if you fly a ton you coudl save alot but wouldnt most card holders for this card only fly first.

That's seems pretty lame as a benefit.

Benefits seem to match Palladium's, swap out UA Club for Delta's but at first glance doesn't seem that great.  Am not familiar with their rewards program. AF $900.

Looks like it's BofA/ML's version of the Palladium (Palladium used to be available only for Private Bank Clients before opening it up to CPC) or maybe it will be the new "Visa Black Card" for millionaires.
