JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

Fee posted yesterday, called up today to ask about retention offers. Had to wait on hold for 20 minutes, for the guy to go "no theres no offers, bye."

Tsk tsk tsk JPM.

I'll have to call tomorrow morning when hopefully someone who isnt rude can answer the phone. Smiley Tongue

Tomorrow when you call in make sure to mention you had a horrible representative who was extremely rude yesterday, and if on the slight chance they still say no say I want to speak to a supervisor..

Re: JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

I have all my plans worked out. Smiley Tongue

I did get the fee waived last year, which could potentially mean no dice this year, doesn't mean I won't try though. =]

Re: JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

That's surprising. I also put about 15k on my Ritz in the first year and was offered the typical free Category 1-4 certificate for $5,000 spend. I also talked the rep into throwing in 10k marriot points as well......everything posted within a month of completing the spend.  Suggest you try again.

Re: JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

I expected to get the t1-4 cert no problem, then was gonna try to talk the rep into a t1-5 or 70k points instead of the cert. Smiley Tongue

I am curious to see if they wave it again this year.. That will be something else.  I am looking forward to your update.

Lol, I guess if you have that much time and effort to expend to get the annual fee waived, then that bling card may be worth having.

It's doubtful they'll waive the AF, but I'd be curious to see if they're even willing to fork out some sort of bonus points given your history with the card.  Doesn't hurt to ask, even if they say no 2x.
