Re: JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

I'm pretty persistent. lol.

Called again right now, got a much more polite rep who said as of right now there wasn't any offers available on my account. I did go ahead and tweet at chase, and sent a secure message just to be safe. Smiley Tongue We'll see what happens. I don't mind paying the $395, but if I can get something extra for it, I'll take it.

Re: JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

140k offer, then sent an SM asking for waived fee, and they waived it.

They may have expected you to spend a lot more than $15k when they agreed to waive it.

Re: JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

It got waived as an accident. A miscommunication, however, I do most of my communication with banks (and other companies) through email, secure messages, and twitter. Everything is then in writing, so when I have a message saying "I don't show a fee on your card for this year" which i later found out meant "you haven't been charged a fee yet" and I say "this person said I wouldn't get a fee this year" chase can't say "they never said that."

Same thing happened with my citi prestige card. Not my amex plat though =/

lol.

I mean, I have 3 chase credit cards, and i bank with chase, so they can hook it up. Smiley Tongue

Re: JPM Ritz Card Retention Offers

I had no luck with a retention offer, called 5+ times about 4-6 months ago.  I wish the typical T1-4 certificate was a little more typical.

Exactly. And tsk tsk TSK

uhhhhhh okay.

15k a year, and you want the $395 AF waived...of course, because the rewards you earned this time around (no open bonuses :/) isn't worth the $395.

but hey, can't fault you for asking again, again and again Smiley Happy

Banking in the sense of a 6+ figure investment portfolio on which Chase earns management fees and/or commissions? Or 4-5 figures in checking and savings?
