JPM- Select...need to be a private client to get approved ??

Hello everyone,

I went to a local chase branch to talk about my business accounts and when I was leaving I asked my rep if she had an knowledge about requirements for this card. I want to apply next year, but she told me I can't because I am not a private client. Is that true ??? I thought with the select anyone can apply, I'm not even thinking of the palladium. I have a slate card, ink cask, and ink bold. Do I have a shot of getting this card. Also if I apply and am approved can I transfer available credit from slate over ??

She's clueless... I have it. The Palladium though technically requires a pb relationship... but even that has/has had some loopholes... which you'd need to google.... I have the select... no pb relationship... and I may try the loophole for PD at some point... but just can't see much benefit over my plat... . Both of these aren't as great as the sapphire for rewards but more than make up for it in other travel benes... to me... anyway... click apply now towards the bottom of the page below.

I thought you could apply for the JPM Select online?

BTW, Chase CSRs do not seem to be well versed in the JPM cards.

Select is a hidden tradeline.

Just remember that before you start trying to transfer part of your credit limits from one to the other.

Short answer yes. Long answer involves a "probably" lol... If you have cards with limits higher than 5k you can probably just go for it whenever.

Yeah I know that's why I want it.... Maybe I will just pc slate to freedom and add the select.... I really want to combine limits and lower the amount of cards I have... I have way too many
