Evening All,
I have a couple quick questions for all you Ritz experts out there. I have done enough research, but would like some confirmations.
1. Looks like JPMC primarily pulls Experian for this app, and sometimes TU in addition. If Experian is frozen, can you backdoor/recon and ask them to pull just TU?
2. As this is a co-branded card, this card does not fall under the 5/24 rule, correct?
Appreciate everyone's feedback.

If you have Experian frozen, your application most likely will be outright declined. Even on recon they're going to ask you to unfreeze Ex. Good chance they'll double pull EX and EQ. Applying for cards with bureaus frozen is going to lead to declines in most cases.
It does not count.

In most cases, Chase will pull EQ and EX. If your EX is frozen, your application will be denied unless you unfreeze it.
I know for me personally Chase pulls EQ where I live so had other two on ice and got approved with Equifax alone.. I have never seen a scenario of them using TU for the Ritz card. They also softed my Experian the day of my application although I am sure they would of taken a HP if it was available.. I guess I rolled the dice as I know what they pull in where I live as I have applied so many times and every time it is Equifax . Would prefer an Experian or TU HP.. Hopefully next year they will chose to do Experian on me as Equifax has been brutalized by them among every other lender!
Bottom line if you want best chance for approval keep all UN-Froozen or thawed as they might want a 2nd HP or even 3rd.
Keep in mind I already have an existing relationship hence they are able to SP other CRA to keep an eye on me as well hence the SP the same day I applied and a few days later on date I believe it was finally approved after two week message
Chase has always pulled EX and TU for me. Never an EQ pull from Chase last 3 apps. I hope it's still the same

Lucky duck! Rather take a TU and Exp double pull than another pull on EQ!!!
Although the depth of any discussion on frozen reports and applying for credit is quite restricted on these forums, I can say that, in my experience, Chase will not necessarily decline an application with a frozen EX report. I picked up the IHG, British Airways, AARP, and Chase Amazon cards this year with a frozen EX report. EQ was the sole report used in determining to whether or not to approve me for those products. Historically, every other Chase card I have/had was a double pull including EX, however. I would still agree with the notion that most creditors will not negotiate with applicants if the bank's preferred report is not available. In my case, I did not need to call in or recon for any of those 4 cards I mentioned.
Ultimately, your location will determine what bureau(s) Chase will pull. The only time Chase has ever pulled my TU report was for the Slate card I was preapproved for last year.
