Thats what they explained to me when I called in. They said that the points follow the card and not the account since each card offers a different amount of points. I think it would be to try and alleviate conversion issues points wise, maybe?
Your JetBlue account does not talk to your Barclay JetBlue account either. My JetBlue account shows I have 125 points in their system. My JetBlue card says I earned I 264 points last statement and at 597 so far this statement. It also looks like they lump your points in when your stateent cuts, like Discover does with their cash back deals.
