Jetblue Amex question

Does anyone have the JetBlue Amex? I've been considering applying for it. I have a TrueBlue account and from what I can tell from the application page, the spending I do with the card would result in True Blue points. Currently they're offering about 10,000 points for new approvals. I don't know if it's worth. I've flown Jet Blue though not often, but it's easiest to get to JFK in NY, which is where they usually fly out of/in to. Not sure if it's worth the inquiry hit.

Re: Jetblue Amex question

I PC to it last year... I have not really used it yet but it reminds me of Southwest... a lot easier to make it to a free ticket then Delta Amex or other Airline partner cards that require 25k+ in spending.

but if you rarely fly and don't want to make it your primary card to earn the free flights it would probably just be another credit card in your wallet, I would rather have the Costco Amex and earn better % in rewards.

Ok so you have the card? I don't know what PC is referring to.  I figured since I live pretty close to JFK /JetBlue's main terminal thus would probably flying from there. Since the offer seems to be pretty nice I was considering it. It's Amex, I'd assume they'd back date any future cards I might get with them.

As for a Costco Amex, I don't shop at Costco so that wouldn't be useful at all.  But thanks for the suggestion.

Re: Jetblue Amex question

PC= Product Change from another card with same company.

What has your scores back in the 680 range after being over 700?

I would be concerned of any baddies and high Util to apply for a credit card product from Amex like JetBlue.

Re: Jetblue Amex question

The last baddie was more than a year ago, according to TU and EQ. The last inquiry according to EQ was 07/2010. My utilization was very high for a long time. I've recently paid down some major balances. When I pulled my TU score in Feb my balances were over 6k and I've now gotten them down to a little over 4k, so I've paid off more than 2 grand in the last month.

It's just a thought, I'm not in a rush to apply for anything. I've just been thinking about "investing" (credit card wise) for the future. As someone said in one of the threads, sometimes it's good to apply when you don't need it, because when you do, you won't get approved.  I haven't applied for a card in more than a year, because I've been working on paying down/off my high balances.  I've been quite successful.  I'd like to get things paid off some more before I pull my scores again.
