Jetblue WMC will not allow authorized user to get free checked bag.

I want to let you all know that if you add a user to your Jetblue WMC, they will not be receiving a free checked bag. I called three times and spoke to three different people when this card came out and before I applied to find out this answer and was told each time as long as someone has a card in their name, the first bag will be free. Come to find out today when I am booking for my mother, it is not true. 

The only reason I got this annual fee card is because we were splitting the annual fee since we both fly and both wanted free checked bags. She flys much more than I do but her credit is not well enough for her to get approved. 

So in the end, I now have this card for no reason what so ever. I would have just gotten the no annual fee card.

I called up and they apologized left and right and told me to read the terms and conditions.

This is what is says 

" Is my first checked bag free on JetBlue flights?
A: Yes. You and up to 3 travel companions on the same reservation, who have purchased Blue fares, will each receive their first checked bag free on JetBlue-operated flights that do not include first checked bag free. All ticket purchases must be made with your JetBlue Plus Card, and the primary cardmember’s TrueBlue member number must be entered at the time of booking. Applicable overweight and excess baggage fees apply. "

This is where the confusion came in before I even applied for the card. I was told back then that they just meant that the person with the name on the card itself had to put there jetblue true blue in, and not the companions. I trusted the words of 3 different reps before I applied 2 months ago. 

For all I knew, my authroized user was a primary cardmember also. I really believe they should actually tell you that the person who applied for the card is the only one who can use the benefits, not the authorized users. The wording should be better.

So anyway, I am going to cancel this card before the year is up because I am not wasting 100 on it when I only fly twice a year.

So just giving you guys a heads up if you didn't know this information.

Isnt it a known fact that free baggage benefits from airline cards are based on the frequent flyer number attached to the card? Therefore your AU cant benefit from free baggage as he/she cannot use your frequent flyer number.

So how do the 3 other companions get free checked bags? In order to understand better, If I am not on the flight and 3 other people are they don't get it, in other words I have to be flying with up to 3 companions in order to grant them free checked bags. I don't have and never had a travel card as of yet, please don't judge my question. So If my parents want to travel I can't put it under my number and they get free checked bags when I am not flying with them?

The key words in that T&C are "travel companions". Up to three people can get a free checked bag under your card and true blue number but they must be your travel companions.
