Have not seen this posted anywhere else so I will put it out there. I went to the Jovia CU website to see about getting their Visa Signature Elite Card. I was pre-approved up to $25,000. I then went to fill out a membership application and went through the process until I got to "How do you qualify for membership". It said you need to be related to a member, or live/work/attend school/attend worship in an area that they serve. The option to join the CU through the CrossState Foundation was no longer an option. I stopped what I was doing and called the CU. The CSR advised that membership is no longer available by joing the CrossState Foundation. Thought I would share for anyone that has been thinking about getting the card.
Those b@st@rds!
I was thinking along the lines of the same thing
What's that mean for those of us who joined thru cross state?
time will tell
It's a credit union so once you are in you are in, however, for new members it is no longer open to everyone

Existing members are fine.. Just like NFCU I got in through a loop hole as did many others and since been long closed. Once you aer in any CU it is permanent unless of course you close your shared savings account ever.

Once you're in, you're in. But what is special about this CU?

It was a FOTM and many myfico'ers leveraged the ability to use the same HP for x2 CCs + PLOC all in one shot. Most got all three with nice 5-figure SLs each.
I just went for the savings + 1 card with 17% apy and may leverage them later for something else now that I'm established there.

I'm sure once you're in, you're in.
.......But what is special about this CU?
Why does there have to be something "special" about it, for it to be of interest?
